Responsibilities and Duties
Performs a variety of skilled electrical work involved, maintenance and troubleshooting,
Preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance tasks for electrical equipment and electronic control systems
Serves as a subject matter expert in diagnosing causes of malfunctions on a wide variety of electrical and electronically controlled and powered equipment and systems including Variable Frequency Drives, Motor Control Centers and Smart MCCs.
Maintains equipment and tools utilizes to test, install and replace equipment.
Performs work involving the installation of complex electrical and electronic systems on systems up to 600volt classification.
Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit and stud, using rulers, measuring devices, hand tools, pipe threader, and conduit bender.
Install and connect power supply wiring, cables.
Install, maintain and repair electrical control.
Install and replacement of electrical conduit and raceway systems.
Install. test, maintains circuit breakers.
Maintain, test and repair relays.
Install, maintain and repair motors.
Read blueprints or technical diagrams.
Ability to operate drills, conduit benders, drill presses, cable pullers, meters (volt, OHM, AMP, Meg), hand tools, hand drills, lathes, and hoisting equipment.
Ability to use a multimeter for live wire testing.
Utilizes personal protective equipment (PPE) for electrical and other hazards the work environment.
Qualifications and Skills
High school diploma or General Educational Development certificate
2-3 years experience directly associated with installing, repairing and maintain electrical and electronic components of machinery, equipment and systems.
Standing, walking, driving, climbing ladders, squatting/kneeling, reaching, grasping, pushing/pulling, twisting/bending, lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs.
